The headquarters of the South African Navy, is in Simon’s Town. It was previously occupied by the British Navy and before that, served as an anchorage for ships of the Dutch East India Company. It has played host to a number of famous sea-faring visitors, including Captain Bligh of the HMS Bounty, Lord Horatio Nelson and Captain James Cook. Simon’s Town’s
