Terms & Conditions


These Conditions apply to all guests. Payment of deposit constitutes express agreement of

these terms and conditions.REGRET NO CHILDREN UNDER AGE OF 12 YEARS.

Guests are required to pay a deposit as stipulated together with a credit card imprint/details

on all bookings. Balance of payment for services is required on departure.

50% of the reservation total is required when booking, 14 days prior to arrival the balance of

the stay will be charged.


Guests may check in between 14:00 and 18:00 on the day of arrival.

Guests are required to check out by 10:00 am on the day of departure. The Guest house

reserves the right to charge an extra night where guests have not checked out at the agreed

time. Guests must pay any outstanding charges on departure at check out.


Guests are required to keep television, music and general noises levels down from 22:00 to



More than 30 days before arrival, deposit is fully refunded minus admin charges.

From 21 to 30 days prior to arrival 25% of the deposit is forfeited.

From 14 to 20 days prior to arrival 50% of the deposit is forfeited.

Within 14 days prior to arrival 100% of the deposit is forfeited.

In the case of a no show, early departures or cancellation within 24 hours prior to arrival, the

full reservation value is forfeited.


Guests are kindly asked to keep their valuables secure – a cupboard safe is provided. Port

of Call does not accept liability for any loss of goods.


Removal, damage or excessive soiling of any items provided to the guests in their room or in

the general areas of the property will be charged at replacement value.

Fixtures & fittings: removal or damage to any fixture and fitting in rooms or communal areas

will be charged as applicable and determined by the guest house.

All rooms are non-smoking. Should a room need extra cleaning due to smoking, this will be

charged as applicable and determined by the guest house.


The guest house is not liable for any loss or damage to personal property or injury or death

to persons anywhere on the property or how so ever caused. However, the Cape Medical

Rescue service is provided by the guest house for the benefit of all guests.

Insurance: we recommend a comprehensive Travel Insurance policy with a 24 hours

telephone assistance.


Guest/s attend this guest house at their own risk. The proprietor, his agent/s and/or his

employees (“The Proprietor”) shall not be liable for, and the guest/s hereby waive/s and

abandon/s any claims of whatever nature including, but not limited to that for theft, injury,

loss or damage of whatever nature, against the Proprietor, whether arising from the

Proprietor’s default, negligence or otherwise . The guest/s, in addition to the aforesaid,

hereby indemnify the Proprietor against any claims which may arise from whatever nature,

whether arising from the Proprietor’s default, negligence or otherwise.

Accordingly I/we shall not hold you and any members of your staff and agents responsible or

liable in any manner whatsoever in the event of any loss or expenses incurred prior to, for

the entire duration of, or after our journey or the related travel services and accommodation.

As the representative of all persons included in my/our booking I have read and understood,

and agree to the above conditions.
